Grand Pacific Hotel

Opened in 1914 by the Union Steam Company of New Zealand , the Grand Pacific Hotel has been setting benchmark standards of service, comfort and first class facilities ever since, hosting a who’s who of royalty, world leaders, captains of industry and celebrities for over a century.

Totally rebuilt in 2014, the Grand Pacific Hotel has regained its place as the ”grand old lady” of the Pacific, the only hotel in Suva to offer a five star experience, blending fascinating colonial architecture and history with magnificent Fijian hospitality and friendliness.
With absolute water frontage and stunning views over Suva Harbour with its encircling mountain ranges, the hotel offers 113 guestrooms and suites. A number of these are in the original heritage building which features wide verandahs, a neo-classical façade and an impressive arched entry portico that opens into the huge vaulted lobby with its interior gantry balcony and balustrades modelled on the first class lounges of passenger liners of the era.

Grand Pacific Hotel has become renowned as one of the major conference venues in the South Pacific. With a choice of seven function rooms, it can accommodate up to 600 people, combining historic grandeur with exceptional service, creating the ultimate setting for international congresses, conferences, meetings, events and weddings.
